THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a Cook to join our The Gardens team in Qualicum Beach, B.C.

Shifts: full-time, 10:30am – 6:30pm, 5 days on 2 days off.

Responsibilities: Work with the Dietitian to prepare appropriate menus for the residents Lead the kitchen in preparing the main meals Order all food and supplies for the kitchen Monitor food cost and maintain budget Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen Request feedback from the residents about food preferences and menu development Prepare specialized and textured diets Qualifications: experience working in a hotel/banquet/fine dining preferred experience in preparing specialized and textured diets preferred experience as a Food Nutrition and Support Manager preferred Red Seal or equivalent Proof of COVID vaccination About: Retirement Living in Qualicum Beach includes independent, assisted living and residential care.
