Description de posteSafety & Compliance Teamwork Accountability and Dependability Communication Time Management Wood framing : including but not limited to back framing, safety barricades, doorsR / O adjustments, stair / landing framing, and general carpentry work, as assigned. Maintain site signage. Maintain site appearance, including but not limited to debris removal, weed control, and basic landscaping maintenance. Assist the Site Supervisor with inspections and or trade coordination asrequired. General home construction tune-up work, as assigned. Ensure Job sites haveproper egress with secure temporary access ramps and walkways tothestreet front are clear of debris and hazards. Accept site deliveries andassistwith loading and off-loading materials. Keep inventory of required general construction supplies.Source / purchase materials as required. General labour, including some heavy lifting. Maintain site appearance, including but not limited to debris removal, weed control,andbasic landscaping maintenance. Performing other related duties, including minor duties of other trades where certification is notrequired, and the work does not exceed your own limitations. Understanding andcomplying withall policies and procedures. Work with team to get jobs done safety and efficiently to meet timelines. Maintaining a clean working area free from debris between tasks and at end of day. Ensure job-site safety ismaintained. Performadditionalassignments per supervisor's direction. High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent. Minimum 3years of experience in residential and / or commercial construction Valid AlbertaDriver'sLicence Ability tooperateequipment (skid steerand basic construction power tools asrequired) Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset. Effective verbal and listeningcommunicationskills. Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current. Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Ability to readilydeterminethe correct tools and equipment needed to docertain tasks. Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools. 44 hours per week; Monday Friday; 7-4 : 30pm (subject to change) Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Abilityto work alonewhenrequired. Regularly worksnear moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Abilityto lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object. Abilityto climb ladders for heights of up to 60 feet. May be exposed to loud noise. Excellent stamina isrequired. Works outdoors in all-weather conditions. Hazards associated with the construction industry.

Position Summary :
Reporting to theSite Supervisor / Superintendent, theResidential Construction Technicianwillbe responsible fora wide array ofduties fornew construction and remodelling projects under the supervision of the Site Supervisor and / or Site Superintendent.This individual will be familiar with construction industry safety standards and be able to work under minimal supervision. TheResidential Construction Technicianwill followthe Supervisor's direction closely and maybe available to act as an assistant to the Site Supervisor.
