Registered Practical Nurse - Halifax

Job Summary :

We are seeking a licensed nurse to assist with intramuscular (IM) injection administration as part of our (vaccination / immunization / wellness) program. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and confident in performing basic nursing procedures with a focus on safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and administer intramuscular (IM) injections according to protocol and scope of practice.
• Verify patient identity, review medical history or contraindications, and obtain informed consent when required.
• Maintain proper infection prevention and control (IPAC) procedures before, during, and after each injection.
• Monitor patients post-injection for any adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
• Document all injections and patient interactions accurately in accordance with regulatory and organizational policies.
• Ensure safe disposal of sharps and biohazard materials.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and report any issues or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
