Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team.

Position Description:

• Financial Reporting: Compile, analyze, and present financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing processes to ensure accuracy and timely transactions.
• Payroll Management: Supervise and manage the preparation of payroll for all personnel, ensuring compliance and timely payments.
• Bank Relationship Management: Act as the primary liaison with banks for all financial matters, including transactions, credit lines, and any necessary negotiations.
• Financial Closing: Coordinate the financial closing process, collaborating with external accounting firms for accuracy and compliance.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and evaluate the performance of the top resource in the accounting department, ensuring high performance and growth.
• ERP Implementation: Lead the final stages of ERP implementation, including the integration of QuickBooks with other modules, ensuring seamless functionality.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of years in a senior accounting role, with experience managing complex accounting processes.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP, and Excel (including financial modeling and complex analysis).
• Analytical & Organizational Skills: Impeccable attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Adaptability: Quick learner with high mental agility, demonstrating a proactive problem-solving approach and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Self-Motivated: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative when necessary.
• Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
