INTERN, HAMILTON SPORTS GROUP TICKETING & EVENTS (two positions available)

The HSG Ticketing & Events Intern will acquire a complete understanding of event execution and ticket administration, focusing on providing support to all aspects of the revenue-generating business. Working with our team, the candidate will execute all events relating to ticket activities, including operating the box office on game / match days for the Tiger-Cats and Forge FC, along with other duties listed below.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • With guidance from the ticketing team, the candidate will set up, manage, and execute all Ticketing Department events and others designed to drive ticket revenue
  • Collect event data to widen HSG's database and ensure proper processes are followed.
  • Ensure that the collected data is inputted into the ticketing system correctly so that other ticket representatives can follow up on it.
  • Assist the Business Development, Membership Services and Ticket Operations roles and responsibilities in the daily operations of the ticketing business.
  • Learn, operate and execute tasks within CRM programs such as Archtics, the Ticketmaster ticketing system
  • Learn and leverage SalesForce to develop new leads and contribute to new business development and meet reporting needs and requirements.
  • Assist with general administrative work, including but not limited to maintaining / organizing digital accounts, data entry, copying, filing, and sales reporting.
  • Any other duties assigned by your Manager(s)
  • Evening and weekend work will be required as most events will happen during this time.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of roles / tasks.
  • Adept with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel.
  • Shows strong initiative.
  • Passion for sport, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Forge FC, and the Hamilton community.
  • Must possess a G2 or G driver’s license and always have access to a vehicle.
