Salary : Geotechnical Analyst

GEMTEC is on the move and looking for entrepreneurs just like us to fuel our expansion in Ontario. Our presence in Ontario is expanding, and we are searching for various roles throughout the GTA, including a Geotechnical Analyst within our Geotechnical Division in Bowmanville, ON office.

You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team of Engineers and Scientists focused on Geotechnical, Hydrogeological, Environmental, and Materials related projects.

The successful candidate will have the following :

Educational & Experience Requirements :

• Completion of a recognized bachelors degree in Civil / Geotechnical / Geological Engineering from a recognized university.
• Must be working towards gaining your Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.)
• 1 3 years of relevant professional experience (preferably in consulting); candidates with less years of experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Have the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time to deliver work on time and on budget.
• Understanding and demonstrated field experience in soil / bedrock classification, drilling methods, in-situ testing (settlement, compaction, packer testing, vibration monitoring, etc.), soil / rock logging, sampling protocols, monitoring well and instrument installation, considered an asset.
• Familiarity with software packages specific to geotechnical analysis (i.e., borehole logging, analytical software such as Rocscience, GeoStudio, etc.) would be an asset.
• Ability and interest to undertake extensive fieldwork, in a range of weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment that requires flexibility and the willingness to work overtime, as required.
• Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Salary Range : $50,000 - $65,000 CAD Annually

In alignment with Ontarios Employment Standards Act and paytransparency requirements, GEMTEC includes the expected compensation range in publicly advertised job postings for roles based in Ontario. This range reflects what GEMTEC reasonably anticipates paying for this position. Final compensation will be based on the successful candidates education, experience, skills, internal pay equity, specific Ontario location, or other factors unrelated to Ontarioprotected grounds.
