Join Us! Our team is looking for General Labourers for our Goreway Plant located at 10 Armthorpe Road, Brampton, Ontario, L6T 5M4. Shift Time

Afternoon shift – 2 : 30P – 11 : 00P

What we have to offer

$21.11 / hour to start - $22.11 / hour after probation (3 months)
Annual Increases based on Collective Bargaining Agreement
$1000 referral bonus for each successful referral
Full benefits (health, dental and vision) after probation (3 months)

Job Description

Take an active role in changeover procedures and achieve line speed efficiencies

Visual quality checks of product against customer and internal specifications (including foreign materials and weight checks)

Ability to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility

Adhere to individual Product Standard Operating Procedures for components and packaging material

Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with Health and Safety requirements

Pack various meat products into trays / boxes

Operate slicing machine and weight scale, if necessary

Complete all checklists correctly in a timely manner

Pushing & pulling of skids and racks

Other duties as required / assigned

Requirements :

Experience within a food manufacturing environment

Good communication skills, both written and spoken English

Attention to detail with basic computer skills and strong leadership skills

Capable of lifting 25kg

Require standing for 8 hours with some lifting and bending

Ability to follow and execute instructions given by Managers / Supervisors

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment

Work in conditions under 10˚C
