POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is focused on technology infrastructure management for Canucks Sports Entertainment (CSE) and Aquilini Group (AG), supporting all physical, virtual, and cloud based IT systems. This role will provide monitoring, maintenance, and support relating to Operating System Servers (Windows, Linux), with the aim of providing a stable environment and maximizing the availability of technology infrastructure. Acting as a subject matter expert, this role will work with the IT Infrastructure team to respond to systems and server related escalations, requests, and projects.
This role will focus on :
- Designing, implementing, and administering IT infrastructure to support current and future business requirements, including physical and cloud compute / storage environments, network and communication infrastructure, and endpoint device configuration
- Overseeing and maintaining backup tools, topology, and disaster recovery processes
- Implementing and supporting maintenance and upgrades of system infrastructure such as Host hardware (Dell, HP Cisco Hyperflex), SAN technologies, SQL, VMWare, Hyper-V, and cloud technologies
- Performing regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and processes for service level integrity and performance
- Identifying and resolving production capacity, contention, resource, and application deficiencies
- Assisting in the development of security recommendations and managing security information priorities
- Developing and participating in actions to maintain and improve risk management and compliance programs
- Troubleshooting infrastructure hardware and software issues, following issues through to resolution
- Acting as tier 2 / 3 technical support to Service Desk and supporting Microsoft client O365 services
- Providing on-call support and work off hours in a 24x7 production support environment as required

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technology-related fieldAt least five years of experience in a related System Administrator roleAdvanced knowledge and hands-on experience of Microsoft Windows Server technologies, Office 365, Azure infrastructure, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory Entra IDAdvanced knowledge of virtualization (VMware preferred)Advanced knowledge of on SAN and Cloud Storage systemsAdvanced knowledge of on on-premises and cloud backup systems (Veeam & Rubrik preferred)Proactive and innovative mindset in terms of identifying ways in which technology can support business needsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externallySelf-motivation and accountability for ensuring service levels are achieved and exceededTeam player attitude with solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsAbility to work extended non-business hours and some travel as requiredA strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM)Onsite role at our office in downtown VancouverYOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE :
