We are looking for an experienced Technical Leader with strong expertise in mobile development (Android and iOS), capable of guiding a team in delivering end‑to‑end digital products. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, drive architectural decisions, and contribute hands‑on to the development of applications used by BRP vehicle owners around the world.

As a Technical Leader, reporting directly to the Digital Team Leader, you will be part of the connectivity innovation team constantly improving BRPs Consumer applications and be directly involved in BRPs digital products initiatives.

The BRP Digital team has two offices in the province of Quebec, one is in Montreal the other in Sherbrooke. Our spaces are fully designed to stimulate innovation, co-creation, collaboration with the various teams (CRM, Digital and product engineering) and to have fun at work!

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Define and maintain the technical architecture of BRP’s Connectivity products.

• Guide the team in adopting best practices in architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Review technical decisions and ensure alignment with overall digital platform strategy.

Hands‑On Development

• Contribute to mobile application development (Android/iOS) as needed.

• Ensure delivery of high‑quality, scalable, secure, and reliable code.

• Monitor production application vitals (performance, stability, crash reports, latency, API health, and user experience metrics) and lead the creation and execution of action plans to address issues, improve reliability, and optimize overall app quality.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Coach and mentor developers, fostering growth, autonomy, and technical excellence.

• Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams (IT, Digital, Product Engineering).

• Lead technical discussions, manage code reviews, and support continuous improvement.

Innovation & Product Impact

• Drive exploration of new technologies and approaches to enhance the connected vehicle experience.

• Work closely with product and architecture teams to transform concepts into robust consumer-facing solutions.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Strong expertise in mobile (Android/iOS) development.

• Strong experience with communication protocols, especially Bluetooth and BLE.

• Experience designing scalable architectures (API design, microservices, clean architecture).

• Ability to lead and mentor developers, providing technical guidance and support.

• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills, including production issue analysis.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical topics clearly.

• Ability to monitor production app vitals and drive corrective action plans.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Strong ownership mindset, capable of driving technical decisions and delivering results.

• Collaborative mindset, comfortable working with cross‑functional teams (Product, QA, Design, Architecture).
