Required Skills / Training :
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Certification in Early Childhood Education (Level 1, 2 or 3) will be considered an asset.
- Educational Assistant, Personal Care Aide or similar related areas and / or related experience would be considered an asset.
- Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention would be considered an asset.
- Experience with, and ability to handle, high needs children with a variety of emotional needs would be considered an asset.
- Experience with, and ability to handle, the needs of Elementary aged children would be considered an asset.
- Based on the needs of individual students, ability to provide assistance in occupational therapy, physical therapy, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring and transportation could be required.
- First Aid / CPR would be considered an asset.
- Possess a current and valid driver’s license.
Requirements :
- Familiarity and understanding of the practices of the Roman Catholic Faith
- Recent (within 6 months) Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check upon employment
