Manager Technology, Financial Planning & Analysis

The Technology Business Operations (TBO) team is a shared service within Manulife’s Canadian Technology organization. We are currently looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and enthusiastic self-starter who would love to play a key and varied role in ensuring that Financial Management is driven flawlessly. You will demonstrate financial foresight, strong analytical skills, and curiosity when working with collaborators throughout the organization. This will help optimize costs and back critical programs.

Position Responsibilities

• Work closely with Finance partners and Global and Canadian Technology leaders to understand, actively manage, and lead efforts to optimize Canadian Technology costs, including :
• Technology infrastructure costs
• Global Technology allocations (fixed and variable)
• Workforce costs (Full-time and Contract)
• Non‑labor Canadian Technology contract costs
• Analyze the financial landscape on an ongoing basis to identify actionable insights that will keep the Canadian Technology costs favourable to annual budget through various mechanisms, including improving capitalization opportunities.
• Lead the Canadian efforts for the Global Technology Value (GTV) program, tracking, analyzing and communicating progress and health, and working with partners to identify additional opportunities as required. This includes contributing to the development of a financially sound model to capture the financial benefits of our technological efficiency and productivity activities.
• Support large / key programs through the development of arguments and ongoing management of costs and benefits.
• Partner with an external consulting firm to lead and support the annual SR&ED (Scientific Research and Experimental Development) tax incentive program with the Canadian Segment.
• Work with Finance to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes that impact both their team and TBO.

Salary range is expected to be between

$109,600.00 CAD – $159,600.00 CAD
