Finance Data Analyst - Trade Deductions, Claims and Master Data

Key Responsibilities :

• Review uploaded Trade spend promotions to the customer promotions management system, to ensure discounts are applied in a timely manner to invoices or included in monthly accruals and reporting
• Analysis of accruals and accounting for promotional trade spend
• Analysis, tracking and disputing Customer logistic claims accruals (Shortages and Compliance)
• Prepare Month End closing entries related to Trade spend, Shortages and Compliance Fees
• Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations by customer and provide feedback to Management
• Consistent coordination and communication with the Sales team through daily interaction, as well as Monthly review meetings, to ensure all promotional activities for the period are captured and accounted for in the financial statements (completeness of trade spend), and Balance Sheet accruals are reviewed
• Work with the Accounts Receivable (“AR”) team to ensure deductions are properly applied to promotion accruals and follow-up with AR Coordinator, Sales Analyst or Sales teams as required to ensure deductions are cleared appropriately on a timely basis
• Prepare, plan, and conduct validations on select deductions
• Set up and maintenance of both International and Domestic Customers and Vendors in Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Maintain data integrity, including tracking of data sources and ensuring data system requirements are met
• Understand and ensure role related policies and procedures are adhered to
• Assist in monitoring the price mismatch process and ensure pricing variances are resolved within the timeline required, working with Customer Service, OPS, AR, Sales and Marketing
• Provide process improvements within areas of responsibility and actively participate in new system implementations and upgrades planned
• Provide ad hoc analysis
• Perform and participate in special projects and information requests as assigned
• Other role related duties as assigned
