Senior Financial Analyst

Our established client in the manufacturing and automation space is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They manage general ledger activities, participate in month-end and year-end closings, and assist with compliance. Additionally, they analyze financial variances, support audits, and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and improve processes. Their work ensures accurate reporting and provides key financial insights for decision-making.

Our established client in the manufacturing and automation space is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They manage general ledger activities, participate in month-end and year-end closings, and assist with compliance. Additionally, they analyze financial variances, support audits, and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and improve processes. Their work ensures accurate reporting and provides key financial insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst is as follows but not limited to:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting;
• Prepare and analyzing balance sheet entries, reconciliations, and supporting working papers to ensure accuracy on a timely basis;
• Manage accounting for intercompany, inventory, payroll-related accounts, and WIP/projects as applicable;
• Prepare monthly bank borrowings, covenants, and covenant forecasts;
• Investigate unusual transactions or trends in financial data;
• Complete revenue recognition for projects and analyze unearned revenue;
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls;
• Support ERP/system enhancements and accounting-related projects;
• Mentor and review work of junior accounting staff as required;
• Working with external auditors, assist with year-end audit inquiries;
• Various other duties as required.

TMGNY

• 1-3+ years’ experience post CPA designation;
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS or ASPE and financial reporting;
• Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred); advanced Excel skills preferred;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines;
• Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and communicate clearly with stakeholders;
• Big Four firm experience preferred but not required.
