Senior Policy and Program Advisor

Role Responsibilities

As the Senior Policy and Program Advisor, you will play an integral role in supporting the Export and Investment Branch’s mandate by leading and managing policy development and legislative projects . Your responsibilities will include :

• Policy Development : Overseeing the creation and amendment of statutes, regulations, policies, and decision documents to implement and manage policies governing Alberta's investment and export systems.
• Project Leadership and Management : Leading the development and management of strategic policy frameworks, including the Value-Added Investment and Growth Strategy.
• Collaboration and Consultation : Working with departmental and cross-departmental partners to achieve high-quality, integrated, and coordinated strategic policy development.
• Research and Analysis : Conducting comprehensive research to identify best practices, assess emerging trends, and provide recommendations on complex and politically sensitive issues.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative approaches to policy development and legislative coordination.
