The Program Taproot Community Support Services (formerly WJS Canada) works to improve the lives of people in their communities through a variety of programs and services.
The Position EARN EXTRA MONEY IN YOUR SPARE TIME! Work as much or as little as you desire. Taproot Community Support Services is building our 24 / 7 CASUAL FLOAT POOL to work a variety of shifts as a Community Disability Support Worker, covering staff illness, leaves, vacation, etc.
The Disability Services Worker (DSW), under supervision of their supervisor, facilitates and monitors education and development programs for purposes of providing individuals in service with physical, behavioural, emotional and social supports / supervision in residence and in the community. Disability Service Workers develop relationships and act as a liaison with the community, family members, guardians and employers. The individuals provide independent personal care but may require prompting to have baths, teeth / hair brushing and cleanliness. These positions report to the Team Leader. These positions require union membership with CUPE 1099.
Availability to work : day, night (sleep) or night (awake) shifts. WHEN DO I WORK? Set your availability and claim any available open shifts. HOW MUCH WILL I MAKE? $19.60-$22.00 per hour. WHEN CAN I START? Complete the signup process, provide required security clearances and start as soon as possible!
