Reporting to the President, the Provost and Vice‑President Academic guides the university’s academic direction, aligns resources with bold strategic priorities, and leads a dynamic community of faculty, Open Learning instructors, and staff across all colleges, schools, and academic support units. As TRU leans into its dual‑purpose mission, the Provost will play a key role in shaping academic strategy, championing inclusive leadership, and fostering deep engagement with Indigenous communities. A core member of the executive team, the Provost drives pan‑university collaboration bringing TRU’s values to life through innovation, sustainability, and a culture of care.

As the successful candidate, you will have an earned doctoral degree or equivalent, senior academic leadership experience, ideally including service as a Dean or in an equivalent role, and a strong record of strategic, administrative, and interest‑holder leadership in a complex university setting, along with a deep understanding of the Canadian post‑secondary landscape for both research and teaching.

The salary range for this position is $230,000 to $260,000 per annum.
