About the Company :

RDA Insurance is a leading commercial insurance brokerage known for providing innovative risk management solutions to businesses across Ontario. As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Lloyd’s Division and are currently looking to hire two experienced Underwriters. These positions present an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing team while providing tailored commercial insurance solutions through the Lloyd’s market.

About the Role :

As part of our growth in the Lloyd’s Division, we are hiring two underwriters :

Supervisor, Lloyd’s Underwriting – (8 years plus underwriting experience with some Team Lead Experience)

  • This role will involve overseeing and guiding a team of underwriters, managing underwriting operations, and ensuring the efficient execution of policies in line with our business objectives.

Account Manager Underwriter, Lloyd’s Division – (3-5 years underwriting experience)

  • This role will focus on managing a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts, working directly with brokers and clients to assess risks, provide tailored coverage, and ensure exceptional service and client retention. Both roles provide the opportunity to work within the dynamic Lloyd’s market and contribute to the continued success and growth of RDA Insurance.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Underwrite and assess a wide range of commercial insurance risks within the Lloyd’s market.
  • Evaluate risks, determine coverage options, and develop pricing strategies that align with market conditions.
  • Collaborate with brokers, clients, and Lloyd’s syndicates to place policies and ensure optimal coverage.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Manage renewals, endorsements, and policy modifications to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring smooth communication and resolving any issues promptly.

    • Qualifications :

  • Supervisor, Lloyd’s Underwriting – (8 years plus underwriting experience with some Team Lead Experience)
  • Account Manager Underwriter, Lloyd’s Division – (3-5 years underwriting experience)
  • Strong understanding of Lloyd’s market operations, underwriting processes, and insurance products.
  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex risks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, both with internal teams and external clients.
  • Lloyd's experience would be a bonus
  • RIBO licensed or willing to obtain RIBO certification within 6 months.
