Rubber processing machine operator

In this position, you will have the opportunity to :

• Operate and monitor machines used for molding or vulcanizing rubber articles or products
• Use machines, equipment or hand tools to cut, shape, connect, adjust and bond rubber materials to form parts or finished products
• Use finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind or trim rubber products, grinding or trimming rubber products into their final shape
• Visually inspect finished products for defects and to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Package products in accordance with instructions

• Permanent full-time position
• Shift: evening (Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm), night (Sunday to Thursday 11pm-7am)
• Salary: $23.70/hr on entry, $25.22/hr after 1920 hours worked
• Shift premium: $1.25/hr for evening shift, $1.75/hr for night shift

With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:

• Be able to work the night shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and/or the evening shift (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.)
• Possess physical (you have to work standing up) and manual skills
• Have a strong team spirit, a critical sense, an ability to observe details and a facility for expressing suggestions for improvement
