Financial Reporting Consultant

About Our Client

Our client is sourcing a Financial Reporting Consultant for a 6-month contract.

About the Opportunity

• Manage certain accounting processes and ensure data integrity of accounting records

Consolidate accounting records for preparation of summarized reports, including intercompany transactions, elimination and foreign currency translation

Assist in the documentation & implementation of accounting policies and principles which may affect the SAP system or others

Train accounting teams on any new accounting procedure or policy change

Conduct regular meetings to promote two-way communication of best practices in business and system processes

Provide support to the head office team relating to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems / processes

Liaise with the auditors and their requirements

Continuous review of business processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness

Ad hoc tasks as requested by senior management

About You

CPA designation required

5-7 years relevant accounting experience

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Excellent knowledge of IFRS applicable to area of responsibility

Effective organization and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in MS Excel is a requirement

Proficiency in the SAP and / or Yardi system would be an asset
