Attending Physician in Long Term Care

Our new Village of Millers Creek located in Ajax Ontario anticipated to open March 2026 has an exciting opportunity for an ATTENDING PHYSICIAN to join their village team in long-term care.

Were seeking dedicated compassionate individuals to join our team as an Attending Physician.

Schlegel Villages is family owned and operated; we take our mission seriously. We design build and operate 18 Village-style seniors communities across Ontario which include independent living retirement living assisted care memory care and long-term care for older adults.

To be successful as our new Attending Physician you will provide the following Administrative Services:

• Maintain good Standing with the College of Physicians within the Province of Ontario
• Have current knowledge of geriatrics care of the elderly and gerontology
• Participate and support quality improvement initiatives
• Work in collaboration with the Medical Director and the Village multidisciplinary team to provide guidance for the medical care plans for each assigned resident
• Provide move-in physical examinations and on-going medical care and document in the residents medical health record
• Deliver standard on-site hours and reasonable after hours and on-call services
• Assist in village wide issues such as infection control management and out-break management where appropriate
• Participate in care planning with families residents and a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of relevant policies procedures legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act 2021 and Health & Safety is highly desirable
