Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager – Mid-Market
We’re looking for a Hybrid Underwriting Manager based in Vancouver or Calgary. This is a leadership role where you’ll manage a team of underwriters, oversee commercial accounts, and ensure tailored solutions for a variety of business risks.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee policy evaluation, documentation, negotiation, and pricing
• Build and maintain professional relationships with brokers and clients
• Lead and coach a team to deliver consistent underwriting excellence
• Partner with actuarial and claims teams to support accurate decision-making
• Drive operational improvements and ensure adherence to processes and compliance standards

What you bring:

• 10+ years of commercial underwriting experience
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Experience with operational change management
• CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designation (completed or in progress)
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills

Compensation and perks:

• Salary range: $115,000 – $160,000 depending on experience
