Position : Payroll Manager

Company : Insurance Brokerage & Risk Management

Location : Downtown Montreal

Salary : $85K to $100K

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join a well-regarded insurance brokerage and risk management firm located in downtown Montreal. Responsibilities

The Payroll Manager will play a key role in managing payroll activities for the entire organization :

Manage the complete payroll cycle for approximately 500 employees across Canada;

Update employee records, including salary adjustments, benefits, and deductions;

Provide clear explanations to employees regarding payroll deductions and requirements;

Coordinate child support payments and wage garnishments;

Prepare journal entries and generate monthly and ad-hoc reports;

Participate in year-end processes, including reconciling taxable benefits and issuing T4 and RL1 forms;

Analyze and account for group insurance invoices and support the Payroll Director in various projects.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following criteria :

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role;

Degree in administrative techniques, accounting, or relevant training;

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification;

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel;

Knowledge of the UKG software, a plus;

Bilingual, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English, due to interactions with external stakeholders.
