We are a leading services company specializing in technical documentation, with a mission to expand into integrated logistics support (ILS) solutions. Our expertise spans from maintenance plan establishment and reliability studies to Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), provisioning, technical publications (tech pubs), and training services. Our clients include major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) companies in the aerospace and defense sectors. We are looking for a dynamic Business Manager to lead the growth of our business within this space and help expand our service offerings.

Position Overview : The Business Manager will be responsible for driving the expansion of our services across existing and new clients in the aerospace and defense industries. This individual will manage a team of technicians currently supporting large OEMs and MRO companies, with a focus on growth opportunities. The role requires a deep understanding integrated logistics support. This individual will be tasked with leveraging existing relationships, building new client connections, leading tenders, and managing resource recruitment to meet growing demand.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Client Relationship Management & Business Development :
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders in OEMs, MROs, and other aerospace and defense companies.
  • Leverage existing network to identify new business opportunities and expand the range of services provided.
  • Demonstrate the company's ability to support the customer and position the company as a leader in these domains.

Tendering and Proposal Management :

  • Lead the response to calls for tenders (CFT), managing the preparation of proposals and coordination with technical teams for larger and more complex opportunities.
  • Ensure that proposals reflect the company's strengths in technical documentation and reliability / maintenance planning.
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness and agility in submitting proposals to meet customer deadlines, working with internal resources as needed.
  • Team Leadership & Resource Management :

  • Oversee and support a team of technicians already supporting customers.
  • Manage resource recruitment for the team, ensuring that we are adding the key roles necessary for growth.
  • Guide the team in their professional development, ensuring they have the right skills and expertise as the company expands into new areas.
  • Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Expansion :

  • Drive the growth of the company's service offerings in integrated logistics support, with a special focus on reliability studies, maintenance plan development, and aircraft maintenance technical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to adapt and expand the company's technical capabilities and ensure alignment with customer demands in the aerospace sector.
  • Financial & Operational Management :

  • Own the P&L for the aerospace and defense sector, with a focus on meeting revenue targets and ensuring the profitability of services delivered.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring revenue growth and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement in operations and service delivery.
  • Qualifications :

  • Education & Experience :
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Aerospace, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • 5-7 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, particularly in technical documentation, logistics support, and business development.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and growing business within the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Knowledge of integrated logistics support services with a particular emphasis on reliability, maintenance planning, or aircraft technical expertise.
  • Skills & Competencies :
  • Strong proficiency in Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • In-depth technical knowledge in maintenance planning and reliability studies for aircraft or aerospace systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to recruit and manage a growing team.
  • Experience with proposal management, particularly for tender responses in the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is strongly preferred.

  • Client satisfaction and retention in expanded service areas, including reliability studies, maintenance planning, and ILS.
