Horizon Health Network in beautiful New Brunswick is looking for a Senior Disability Coordinator to join our team!

Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strong, skilled, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Disability Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive experience providing case management support with occupational and non-occupational employee injury and illness. With proven early, safe recover-at-work and return-to-work strategies, strong analytical skills, and solid knowledge of the duty to accommodate, you’ll be an integral part of a dynamic team environment that believes in integrity, excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Who you are

You have a worked a minimum of 5 years in human resources, disability management, or a related discipline. You have experience working in a unionized, multi-site environment, preferably in a healthcare setting, with the ability to interpret multiple collective agreements, apply human resources best practices and human rights legislation.

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in human resources management, business administration or a regulated health care field or equivalent
• Certified Disability Management Professional designation strongly preferred or willing to achieve
• Professional and practiced knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g., Human Rights Codes, NB Occupational Health and Safety Act, NB Workers Compensation Act
• High regard for confidentiality and ethical comportment
• Can effectively deal with contentious situations and negotiate positive results
• Proactive, self-starting and results driving; taking initiative and ownership of work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer-focused and compassionate
• Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; Parklane software usage an asset
• Able to travel throughout the organization as required
