Our client is looking for a dynamic and motivated Financial Controller to join its team in a growing sustainability company.

Location : Montreal (Hybrid)

Salary : Up to 110K depending on experience

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller must be proactive and solution-oriented, while having a solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.

Main tasks :

Oversee and manage the company's financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

Develop and implement effective financial processes to support the company's strategic objectives.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with current financial and tax regulations.

Collaborate closely with operational departments to optimize costs and improve financial efficiency.

Manage budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow plans.

Participate in strategic decision-making by providing in-depth financial analysis and recommendations.

Coordinate and supervise internal and external audits.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, banks and other stakeholders.

All other related tasks

Qualifications

University degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS / GAAP.

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.

Knowledge of sustainable development issues and practices.
