ABOUT THE POSITION
As a corporate paralegal joining the Corporate Services Department, you will be responsible for :
- Supporting approximatley 11 business lawyers on transactional work and also maintaining their corporate minute books (BC, Federal and EPRs) along with all their ongoing corporate governance filings and related matters
- Supporting the lawyers in high level commercial transactions
- High levels of responsibility with regards to direct client contact
- Formation and governance matters relating to corporations (including not for profits) and partnerships
- Assist with preparation of documentation for commercial transactions; changes of ownership or management, M&A, joint ventures, amalgamations and dissolutions
- Due Diligence review of corporate records and preparation of rectification resolutions as well as conducting and reviewing public searches in connection with due diligence matters
