Reporting to the Program Director - Gunn, the Program Manager will assist in leading our Therapeutic Community situated on a 40-acre facility approximately 45 minutes outside of Edmonton. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality addiction recovery services and maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards, team supervisor and resident care.
Role-specific Accountabilities
Provide visionary leadership for the addiction recovery program.Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups that support the emotional, cognitive, and behavioural recovery of residents, using evidence-informed practices.Ensure the adherence to evidence-based models in addiction treatment.Implement and maintain governance structures to ensure quality program delivery.Oversee both one-to-one and group sessions, ensuring high standards of care.Conduct regular evaluations of program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.Manage, nurture, and lead a team of dedicated staff, providing guidance and support.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Conduct regular performance evaluations and professional development for staff.Utilize counseling expertise to contribute to the therapeutic aspects of the program.Stay abreast of the latest developments in addiction counseling and treatment.Manage a busy workload and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.Ensure seamless coordination and execution of daily operations.Ensure an excellent quality of care for clients by overseeing all aspects of the program.Foster an environment that promotes the well-being and recovery of clients.Maintain open and effective communication with both the immediate team and wider organizational stakeholders.Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.Implement strategies for client involvement, including observation and feedback mechanisms.Incorporate client input into program improvements and modifications.Ensure compliance with internal and external quality and regulatory standards.Identify and address any gaps in areas of underperformance promptly.Support in program scheduling, development and implementation.Support the delivery of training and development opportunities.Be available for on-call rota duties in a 24 / 7 facility, handling emergencies and urgent situations.Qualifications
A background in program leadership with specific experience in addiction recovery.A bachelor's degree in health administration, business, public policy, psychology, social work, or a related field.Registration with a professional body in related field.Previous supervisory experience in a related field.Strong counseling background and expertise in addiction treatment models.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritize effectively.Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing addiction treatment programs.Experience in budget development and fiscal management for program operations.Proven ability to optimize resources while maintaining program quality.Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Experience in managing critical incidents and emergencies effectively.Cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations.Experience in establishing and tracking outcome measures to assess program success.
