Position: Manager of Infection Control (Hospital)Location: GTASalary: Between $130,000 and $160,000 per yearOur client, a prominent and well-respected healthcare group in the GTA, is looking for a Manager of Infection Control to join their tight-knit, successful team.The Job:- Lead the planning, development, organization, implementation and evaluation of infection prevention and control program.- Provide infection prevention and control guidance for all areas of the hospital as directed.- Proactive prevention of dangerous infectious agents such as viruses and bacteria, outbreaks and epidemics.- Implement prevention strategies including education/consultation for front line team members.- Lead infection prevention and control surveillance, collection and implementation of best practices and data analysis.- Lead identification of trends/patterns and manage investigations of infections.- Manage a team of IPAC professionals.- Ensure IPAC policies and procedures are reviewed and updated according to legislative requirements, government directives and best practices.Your Qualifications:- A Bachelor's degree and/or graduate degree in a health science discipline such as Med Lab Sciences, Epidemiology, Nursing, Microbiology, or related field- A Postgraduate course in Infection Control- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) in good standing- Exceptional Infection Prevention and Control management knowledge and skills- Infection Prevention and Control chapter membership in good standing- Minimum 5 years' experience in infection prevention and control in an acute care setting- Management/supervisory experience in a unionized environment preferred- Experience in leading and implementing change- Advanced computer, written and oral communication skillsCompensation and Perks:- A competitive salary between $130,000 and $160,000 commensurate with experience- Progressive health and dental benefit plans- HOOPP pension plan with employer and employee premium sharing- Enhanced wellness initiatives, including virtual fitness classes and on-site gym membershipsPlease send your CV, in confidence, to: patrick.power@alternatcare.ca.While we appreciate all inquiries, only those who meet the exact requirements will be contacted.
