Position Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated SDET to join our team. This hybrid role requires a strong foundation in automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and modern development practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in UI, mobile, and API testing, and will be comfortable working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, mobile, and API testing.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases.
• Implement and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Python.
• Validate microservices and APIs using automated tools and frameworks.
• Apply Behavior Driven Development (BDD) principles to enhance test coverage and readability.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and DevOps tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
• Leverage Gen AI tools and techniques to enhance testing efficiency and innovation.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to report progress and issues.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with UI and mobile application testing and automation.
• Proficiency in API and microservices testing.
• Programming skills in Java and Python.
• Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) tools like Cucumber.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and DevOps pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Strong grasp of testing concepts, test planning, and execution.
• Exposure to Generative AI tools and their application in testing.

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000–$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
