1.0 FTE LTO (Semester 2 Only) ELD Literacy And Numeracy Development (LAND) Teacher at Pine Ridge - (LTO). PLEASE NOTE : This is a Semester Two Long Term Occasional position from February 2, 2026 until June 26, 2026. Once the long term occasional assignment is complete, you will return to the supply list. This teacher will be assigned to Pine Ridge SS. The scope of this teaching position is to provide system support to ensure anti-oppressive, inclusive, equitable, and accessible programming for MLL / ELD students, and to collaborate with families and school teams to deliver services. The LAND teacher will offer 3 ELD-specific credits to MLL students on the ELD continuum in grades 9-12. This teacher shall report to the System Lead for Multilingual Language Learners and the Superintendent of Education for Teaching & Learning K-12, and work directly with the school Principal.

Responsibilities

• Provide relevant programming and instruction to Multilingual Language Learners, specifically English Literacy Development (ELD) learners who meet the criteria for the intensive LAND program.
• Program, plan, and assess 3 credits per semester for ELD students\' courses, may include : ELDB01, MAT2L1, Sheltered credit (EPS301, CHV / GLC201, GLD201)
• Deliver an intensive credit course program in conjunction with providing MLL / ELD resource support to schools.
• Provide MLL / ELD programming leadership for teachers, in collaboration with MLL coach and / or ESL teacher.
• Develop appropriate curriculum support materials, in-service staff where required, and respond to requests for assistance from administrators and teachers
• Liaison between administration, teachers, caregivers, and community services personnel (SWIS)
• Monitor and support MLL / ELD student achievement and pathway planning, working in partnership with school administration and Guidance
• Administer STEP assessments as needed
