SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Setup equipment for production
- Repair production equipment as well as facilities where required
- Tech
- Troubleshooting emergency breakdowns as necessary
- Preventative maintenance, fixing breakdowns and / or replacing parts on many different production machines.
- Fabrication by drilling, welding, operating many power tools as required to fix machines or build new parts
- Working with different systems including : pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment
- Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic diagrams
ACCOUNTABILITY : Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Provincially recognized credentials for Industrial Mechanic / Millwright / Electrician or Technical trainingForklift experienceWHIMIS or First Aid tickets, (asset as training will be provided)2 to 5 years experience in a similar roleLicensed Journeyman or equivalent experienceDemonstrated ability to follow safe work practices and proceduresAble to problem solve and use critical thinking and decision making skillsAble to follow oral and written directionsAble to function well in a team environment and to communicate clearly with othersBeing flexible and adaptableHaving a proactive / preventive approachAble to work with minimal supervisionBeing punctual and reliableExperience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a similar environment would be a definite assetSKILLS :
