In this position, you will assist with providing full-cycle support to projects within FieldMaps and Survey123 for ArcGIS.You will help build and maintain innovative models and GIS solutions for unique environmental situations and provide GIS support for regulatory compliance reports, including data editing, data management, and cartography.
- Job location : Fort McMurray, Alberta – Albian or Horizon Site
- Shift schedule : 4 days on, 3 days off, 10 hours / day (Monday – Thursdays) or 8 days on, 6 days off, 10 hours / day (Thursday – Thursday)
- Term length : 12 months
- Term start : May 2026

Key Accountabilities :
Create and maintain Web maps and Web Apps (Experience Builder) within ArcGIS OnlineAssist with providing full-cycle support to projects within Field Maps and Survey123 for ArcGISHelp post-processing data generated through Field Maps, including working with MS AccessManage (review, update, organize) existing and new environmental Geographic Information System (GIS) dataProvide GIS support for regulatory compliance reports, including data editing, data management, and cartographyAssist with “Ad Hoc” requests for GIS based mapping and analysis across the organizationHelp build and maintain innovative models and GIS solutions for unique environmental situationsAssist with non-spatial data management for various Environmental disciplines (MS Office)Promote environmental awareness and compliance throughout the mine siteAssist in various environmental field tasks such as equipment management, wildlife management, water sampling, and reclamation monitoring and / or soil samplesWhat You Bring to The Role :
Enrolled in a GIS degree, applied degree or diploma programSolid understanding and experience of ESRI products (ESRI ArcGIS, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Model Builder)Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstractPrevious field data collection experience using ArcGIS is an assetArcGIS Online knowledge is highly recommendedPrevious FME, Python, AutoCAD experience is an assetAn understanding of remote sensing methods and data processing (LiDAR; Photogrammetry) is an assetMust be physically capable of working outside in the field on difficult terrain and in all weatherStudents should be aware that work will be 20% in field locations and 80 % in office environmentsWhat We Offer :
