Overview

Within the federation, the School of Advanced Study leads research in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Its Institute of Advanced Legal Studies houses the IALS Library – a national and international resource for legal research with around 300,000 volumes.

Role

As part of the IALS Digital team, the Digital Senior Library Assistant will support the development and delivery of all digital services and resources, including the institute’s social media, library management system, e‑repository, open journals, and virtual learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment and software required for digital services.
• Oversee web and social media management.
• Develop and maintain content‑management systems and digital resource platforms.
• Support library users and colleagues in using computing facilities and digital resources.
• Contribute to front‑facing services such as the Enquiry Desk, LibChat, and Document Supply Service.
