The primary purposes of this 2-year, post-doctoral, Research Associate position are to: 1) train the Research Associate in healthy equity-focused, community-engaged research as part of ongoing work in the Meharry/Vanderbilt Community Engaged Research Core; and 2) prepare the Research Associate for an academic career that includes healthy equity-focused, community-engaged research.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an independent, health equity-focused, community-engagement research project.
- Contribute to health-equity focused, community-engaged research projects of faculty mentors and faculty affiliated with the Meharry/Vanderbilt Community Engaged Research Core.
- Submit first-authored research manuscripts based on independent research project and those conducted in collaboration with faculty members.
- Present research at local and national conferences.
- Participate in community-engaged research training and other professional development opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- Completed doctoral degree in a public health, community health, or related scientific field is required.
- Demonstrated interest/experience in health disparities and/or equity-focused, community-engaged research.
