Postdoc Research Associate

The primary purposes of this 2-year, post-doctoral, Research Associate position are to : 1) train the Research Associate in healthy equity-focused, community-engaged research as part of ongoing work in the Meharry / Vanderbilt Community Engaged Research Core; and 2) prepare the Research Associate for an academic career that includes healthy equity-focused, community-engaged research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an independent, health equity-focused, community-engagement research project.
• Contribute to health-equity focused, community-engaged research projects of faculty mentors and faculty affiliated with the Meharry / Vanderbilt Community Engaged Research Core.
• Submit first-authored research manuscripts based on independent research project and those conducted in collaboration with faculty members.
• Present research at local and national conferences.
• Participate in community-engaged research training and other professional development opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
