Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) is inviting applications for the permanent, full-time position of Traffic Engineering Technologist in Traffic Management, Public Works.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Traffic Services, the Traffic Engineering Technologist provides support to the Municipal Traffic Authority in the establishment of all aspects of traffic control within the municipal roadway network. The Traffic Engineering Technologist is responsible for providing technical support in relation to all types of traffic control devices including traffic signals, on-street pavement markings, traffic signs, traffic calming devices and parking control zones. Traffic control requests are received from and information is provided to Council, the public, internal business units and external agencies.

WORK STATUS : Permanent, Full-Time
HOURS OF WORK : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30 am – 4 : 30 pm; 35 hours per week
SALARY : NSGEU Local 222 Level 7, $39.08 per hour
WORK LOCATION : Eric Spicer Building, 21 Mount Hope Avenue, Dartmouth NS. Work location can be changed according to operational requirements.
