Overview

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Change Management Consultant for their Learning Management System renewal project, which involves migrating from Moodle to D2L Brightspace. The Change Manager will drive organizational change as the college shifts how teaching and learning are handled daily.

Responsibilities

  • Crafting and executing a comprehensive change management plan.
  • Developing communications, including messages, town halls, and regular updates.
  • Writing content for project-related materials, such as web pages, blogs, and other informational resources to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Collaborating closely with the Provost, project teams, and other streams (e.g., policy / standards, migration / technical, training).

Top Skills / Experience in Candidates

  • Experience with LMS implementations, particularly in higher education, including change planning and execution.
  • Strong change management expertise (e.g., crafting plans, facilitating town halls, managing stakeholder resistance).
  • Communications skills, including content writing for web pages, blogs, and updates.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics (e.g., unions, politics, traditional mindsets).
  • Project leadership, ideally as a stream lead or similar.
  • Bonus : Higher ed background, familiarity with tools like Moodle or Brightspace.
