The Opportunity :

Reporting to the Vice President Product Development the UX Designer is responsible for designing intuitive data-rich interfaces for smart grid platforms used by electric utilities in the United States spanning AMI asset analytics (e.g. transformer health phase identification) and RF / cellular network health.

Location of Position :

This is a hybrid role based in our Burnaby BC office.

Specifically the UX Designer will :

• Lead user research with utility control room operators planners analysts and field technicians to understand how they engage with AMI asset and network data producing personas workflows and journey maps.
• Design wireframes interactive prototypes and high-fidelity UI for web (and optionally mobile) that unify SCADA views Load Management Analytics and AMI applications into coherent workflows with clear paths from high-level status to detailed investigation.
• Define and refine data-centric visualizations for :

AMI (usage patterns outages / restoration tamper and exception conditions).
