Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. He / she conducts independent assessment of engineering compliance to systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements. Ensures that projects and products are capable and will meet applicable standards and requirements. Demonstrates and communicates understanding of industry and regulatory requirements, standards, and practices in avionics systems, software, and hardware.

Required Competencies

  • Work closely with the technical leader and the project team to meet the timeline and expected level of quality
  • Assure that products developed are the result of suitable, rigorous, and structured processes
  • Conduct assessments / audits of engineering development activities to gauge compliance with applicable regulatory, industrial, and company standards
  • Review technical documentation with a view to Quality and Compliance requirements
  • Generate and maintain objective evidence of assessment activities for customer and regulatory review
  • Understand and apply aviation standards including, but not limited to : RTCA / DO-254, RTCA / DO-178C RTCA
  • Provide regular and thorough status reports and data to leadership
  • Ensure Quality records are maintained, metrics collected, and reports given back to the business
  • Qualification & experience requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering development and / or quality
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, complex electronic product development, quality or process assurance / compliance
  • Experience in or knowledge of aerospace engineering standards
  • Experience in aerospace development standards - DO-254 compliance and DO-178 is a must
  • Miscellaneous Requirements
