Junior Copywriter/Copyeditor

Job Description

We are recruiting for a detail-oriented Junior Copywriter/Copyeditor to join our client in the Broader Public Sector on a temporary contract basis. This role focuses on producing clear, accurate, and consistent communication materials. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, adaptable, and is comfortable working in a high volume environment.

-Location: Midtown Toronto
-Duration: 10 weeks (possibility of extension)
-Hybrid: 2-days onsiteKey Responsibilities

• Write and edit concise, informative copy for print and digital materials.

• Review and validate content against provided source material to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand or project guidelines.

• Proofread all content for grammar, clarity, and consistency prior to approval and publication.

• Support the creation of additional content such as web pages and social media posts as needed.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure all deliverables meet quality and deadline requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 1–3 years of experience in copywriting, editing, or related field.

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.

• Familiarity with digital content creation and social media best practices is a plus.
