Spring Point Colony School

Spring Point Colony School is located approximately 39 km northwest of Fort Macleod, AB or 32 km northeast of Pincher Creek. We are seeking a temporary full time Educational Assistant to work with EAL students. We believe in a team approach to learning that creates a safe and caring, student centred environment where everyone is encouraged to achieve to their highest capabilities. Responsibilities

Work with EAL (English as an Additional Language) students in a supportive learning environment; support classroom instruction; assist students with learning needs; collaborate with speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, and other support staff; follow program directives.

Desired Qualifications

• Diverse educational assistant training and experience in Divisions I, II and III.
• Experience with and / or training working with students with various learning needs in a diverse setting.
• An understanding of and respect for Hutterite culture and educational needs.
• Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with students / staff in a flexible environment.
• Ability to follow a program directed by a speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, etc.

Salary

Will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
