Our Resources subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. Over the decades we have developed a wide range of services, including economic studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, commissioning and industrial programming. This division provides a full range of services to industrial and mining projects, including all services offered in the field of engineering from conceptual and feasibility studies to complete detailed engineering in EPCM, to the closure and dismantling of mine sites. Job Description :

To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a Process Engineering Lead to join our teams located in our GTA offices in Ontario.

What you can expect to do here :

Function as the process discipline lead on projects, managing client relationships and project quality and ensuring that budget and schedule targets are met.

Coordinate with team members, other WSP groups, equipment vendors, clients, and sub-contractors.

Prepare technical reports, specifications, process schematics, and layout drawings, and review deliverables produced by junior and intermediate colleagues.

Perform process and technology selection, equipment sizing and specification, mass balance, hydraulic analysis, 3D layout review, and review analysis and design by junior and intermediate colleagues.

Mentor and provide on‑the‑job training for junior and intermediate colleagues.

Manage multiple simultaneous projects, including project resource management and personal time management; provide project support for other senior staff as required; support the management team with budgeting, strategy development and execution, staff reviews, and delivering training programs.

Support proposal development and contribute to the sector’s business development activities.

Primarily hybrid‑based consulting engineering work with some opportunities for business travel and fieldwork.

What you’ll bring to WSP :

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

12+ years of experience as a process engineer within the consulting environment with previous experience as a Lead.

Experience in oil and gas (gas processing), mine infrastructure, utilities and industrial applications.

Current P.Eng license in your province of residence.

Experience with HYSIS, AFT Fathom or Promax software packages is an asset.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Strong project management and discipline lead skills.
