Responsibilities
- Seek out and respond to breaking news events in the national capital region.
- Report on the biggest stories in the city with speed and clarity.
- Pitch enterprise stories that bring a solutions lens to public safety issues in Ottawa.
- File news in various formats : quick hits, in-depth explainers, live blogs, and video.
- Work collaboratively with a tight‑knit team of reporters, editors, photographers and digital producers to bring essential journalism to readers.
