Corporate Accountant

Some Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy of all work.
• Balance and reconcile daily cash receipts.
• Prepare bank reconciliations including all supporting documentation
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
• Accounting and invoicing for group insurance.
• Send out the MasterCard transactions for coding to all card holders
• Assist Accounting Manager with their initiatives.
• Interact professionally with other departments.
• Produce clear concise verbal and written communications.
• Meet deadlines (ex: Daily / Month End).
• Recommend improvements / efficiencies to processes.
• Other office duties as assigned.

• Minimum one (1) year in an office environment is preferred.

• High school diploma / GED required.
• Education in Accounting from a recognized post-secondary facility is required.

• Strong accounting skills.
• Applies company policies and procedures in a consistent and conscientious manner.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Detailed accurate and results-oriented self-starter.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards software is an asset.
• Ability to prioritize daily workload.
• Self-motivated detail orientated exceptional organizational skills and extremely accurate.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
