Position :  Legal Assistant, Wills and Estates

Location : Downtown Toronto (hybrid 3 days a week)

Salary : Competitive and dependant on experience

Job Type : Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant with administrative expertise and knowledge of Wills and Estates law to join our client’s downtown Toronto law firm. The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to a busy Partner and Law Clerk within the Wills and Estates Department.

  • This position requires some experience in Wills and Estates, and at least 2+ years of administrative experience with a strong ability to handle a high volume of work

Key Responsibilities :

  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and video, managing their inquiries and needs.
  • Coordinate meetings and calls for the Partner to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Organize and prioritize a high volume of daily emails effectively.
  • Assist in preparing estate planning documents like Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts.
  • Act as a witness for client signatures and update our specialized database.
  • Support Wills Vault administration and manage related accounting tasks.
  • Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in similar legal settings with strong administrative skills.
  • Previous experience in Wills and Estates.
  • Completion of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program strong asset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
