Technology Solution Development and Support
- Research, design, implement, and manage Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including business analysis, technical design, implementation, operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and integration with IMT systems.
- Manage multiple concurrent development initiatives, ensuring client priorities and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Implement changes to services using established incident, problem, and change management practices.
- Provide technical support for IMT services, including developing procedures and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure alignment with cross-government ICT standards and develop documented standards and procedures that follow industry best practices, including security and compliance requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of technological developments in software development, systems support, and user support practices.
Program Evaluation, Continuous Improvement, and Leadership
Conduct in-depth reviews of program activities, performance measures, and outcomes to identify opportunities for improved program design and delivery.Provide project leadership and business analysis to support quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across the branch.Proactively research, analyze, and evaluate service delivery models and systems, and recommend strategies, initiatives, or technology improvements.Ensure all initiatives align with legislation, operational policies and procedures, best practices, and Government of Alberta values and Code of Conduct.Additional Responsibilities
Identify and promote Employment Standards best practices through research, evaluation, prioritization, reporting, and collaboration.Support internal and external collaborations, including committees, to ensure programs and materials remain current with legislative and operational changes.Manage and coordinate projects to implement effective practices.Lead and support program evaluation and Quality Assurance planning, development, and implementation.Qualifications
Minimum Recruitment Standards
University graduation in a related field (such as commerce, science, information technology, quality control, or quality assurance) with coursework in research methodology and statistics.Minimum of 4 years of related experience; or equivalent as described below.Equivalency : Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of :

The following knowledge, skills or experiences are considered as assets :
Project Management certification or experience is considered an asset.Time management skills to effectively manage numerous project initiatives.Proficiency in the use of applications and software such as Microsoft Power Platform (including PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and PowerBI), Sharepoint Online, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and SQL Reporting Services.Experience in creating M365 applications and developing low code automationsUnderstanding how to access and manipulate statistical databases, SQL experience is desirable.Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills regarding data from needs assessment, consultation, and evaluations.Ability to integrate technology and automation into processes to achieve business objectives.Stakeholder engagement, relationship building, consensus building, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders within the program areas.Leadership and facilitation skills to provide and solicit feedback to and from stakeholders.Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking skills (must fully assess situations within global context of Employment Standards business, draw valid conclusions and make recommendations).Ability to think strategically in the design of programs.Knowledge of applicable acts, legislation, and policies such as Employment Standards Code.Knowledge of research methods and qualitative / quantitative analysis. This expertise is used to evaluate current activities and proposed delivery options.Knowledge in Government policy development process and procedures.Strong knowledge of change management, systems development and information management methodologies.Advanced knowledge of organization's business and operational process and working knowledge of the technical systems and their inter-dependencies.Minimum recruitment standards outline the minimum education and experience required for appointment to a job classification.

This is a permanent full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Working location will be at either 9925 109th Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta, or 717 7th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta.
