Job Description
Our education client in Hamilton is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Budgeting. They will report into the Director, Financial Planning and have 4 direct reports with a focus on creating and preparing the company’s annual budget, completing financial analysis and reporting. This individual will be CPA designated and bring 3+ years of FP&A experience to the table. They will need to have excellent communication and presentation skills, as they will be presenting to the Sr. Management team.
Please note : this position requires you to be in Ontario and in the local area, as this is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities :
Lead the process and preparation of annual operating budgets and analyze budget impactsProvide strategy recommendations to senior leadershipCoordinate with Financial Planning Analysts to prepare and present budget informationMaintain stakeholder relationshipsPrepare ad hoc financial analysis in response to requests from financial managers, senior management, and external parties.Develop business cases for strategic initiatives and advise on the financial implications to the budget forecast, financial statements, impact to government funding and ministry financial health indicatorsPlay a key role in the Financial Planning team by overseeing the performance and development of direct reportsQualifications :
CPA a must (Canadian or international) with 3+ years experienceExperience managing / leading a team and ideally someone in a manager position currentlyExcellent communication and presentations skillsIndustry experience with an FP&A background a big assetACC1
