Material and Repair & Overhaul (R&O) Coordinator
Thales – Mill Bay, British Columbia, Canada
The Material and Repair & Overhaul (R&O) Coordinator is integral to the success of daily operations related to the movement and management of spares and equipment. As a member of the warehouse team within Supply Chain, this position works closely with Procurement, Engineering, Service Delivery, and other internal departments, as well as external organizations including suppliers, service providers and the customer.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Asset Repair and Overhaul : coordinate all activities related to the management of repairable assets, including direct component repair and overhaul activity; develop, monitor, and manage repair lines and schedules.
- Asset Calibration : maintain and oversee the equipment calibration program; identify and track assets, update status in relevant ERPs, and monitor status to ensure maximum availability.
- Asset Tracking : establish and maintain a process for Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE) and customer‑owned equipment; track status, initiate material movements, and coordinate preventative maintenance.
- Inventory Management : track material availability, expedite deliveries, monitor stocking levels, perform parts consumption analysis, administer master data changes, schedule stock‑taking activity, and support material returns.
- Shipping and Distribution : schedule shipping requirements with couriers and freight forwarders; ensure documentation accuracy and track freight, resolving any issues.
- Warehouse Operations : plan, schedule, and issue material from the warehouse; ensure accuracy of transactions, perform transactions in DND and Thales ERP systems, and prepare reports to support KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement : participate in initiatives, attend meetings, maintain compliance with company policies and ISO / Defense regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
3‑5 years of experience in a similar supply‑chain, procurement, or warehousing role.Knowledge of purchasing, warehousing, and distribution processes and systems.Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office Suite.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience.Defense industry experience.Familiarity with the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS).Knowledge of ITAR and Canadian Export / Import regulations and experience with permit application processes.Physical Demands
Predominantly office‑based with the requirement to lift up to 22 kg (50 lbs) and walk or stand for extended periods.
Special Position Requirements
Schedule : Core business hours Monday‑Friday 07 : 30‑16 : 00. Physical environment : Office with some warehouse time; lifting up to 22 kg and extended standing.

Compensation
Total Target Compensation (TTC) ranges between $56,340.75 – $93,901.25 CAD annually, inclusive of variable compensation.
