Manager, Maintenance and Operations

Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager of Maintenance and Operations will support the Yellowline Terminal by providing maintenance and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities include :

• Managing Yellowline (YL) Asphalt Cement Terminal Maintenance and Boots-on-the-ground Production Operations.
• Plan and execute terminal maintenance programs.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per YL Safety Practices and Procedures.
• Identify and become familiar with various asphalt cement specifications requirements.
• Manage subcontractor agreements and on-site services.
• Communicate and assist personnel in adjusting processes to conform to specifications.

Position Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university preferred.
• Professional Engineer of Ontario.
• Minimum 10+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of asphalt technology is an asset.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Results-driven with a focus on delivering success in a fast-paced environment.
• Outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
• Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
