Service Technician – Mobile at Premier Equipment
Premier Equipment is the largest full‑service John Deere dealership in Ontario, serving agriculture, lawn care, golf, commercial grounds, and compact construction customers across the province. With 20 locations and over 190 skilled technicians, we deliver innovative equipment, expert service, and unmatched support.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex on‑site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, turf, and compact construction equipment.
- Troubleshoot and support established in‑vehicle GPS and Precision Ag technologies.
- Review and explain any maintenance, repair, or service concerns directly with the customer and document them on the work order.
- Support customer clinics and promote Premier Equipment’s service programs.
- Manage the mobile service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory while adhering to safety standards and completing required documentation.
- Account for all time and materials used in performing duties.
- Operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
- Participate in Saturday rotation and on‑call availability.
Qualifications
Minimum four years of experience performing service repairs.Ability to perform complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs following technical manuals.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Proficiency with Service Advisor and basic computer skills.Ability to troubleshoot and support GPS and Precision Ag technologies.Preferred Qualifications
Advanced or Master Service Technician certification.CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).Forklift license.Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training.Experience with John Deere and competitive products.Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Associate’s degree preferred.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.Compensation and Benefits
