Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our Cascades Flexible Packaging facility in Mississauga, as the Maintenance Mechanic :
Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresInspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctionsInstall, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsAdjust machinery and repair or replace defective partsClean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machineryOperate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machineryOperate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineryAssemble machinery and equipment prior to installation by using hand and power tools and welding equipmentExecute preventative maintenance activities including trouble shooting and repairs to all mill equipment in a timely mannerParticipate in safety programs and ensure the application of our safety standards for all maintenance operationsAll other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisorThere's nobody quite like you! 3+ years’ industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentIndustrial Maintenance Mechanic Millwright Certificate(433A) requiredAble to diagnose & troubleshoot mechanical problems, comfortable performing PM’sMust have previous experience or licensed to use a scissor lift and a forkliftExperience repairing extruders, printing presses, or other automated packaging machineryGood understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and able to work both safely and efficientlyAble to work a shift rotation including rotating weekend scheduleWe look forward to meeting you!
